Isn't this wonderful music. Hard to believe Michael Crawford wasn't a singer originally.

Thanks for the reminder about this Brenda, good choice.

Hey Winifred! I remember those "Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em" episodes!

I saw The Phantom in the 80s. I took my mom. It was a great show, except the person in front of me had a watch that I could hear ticking the whole time.
That chandelier sequence was pretty spectacular though.

By the way, Brenda, I know this is YOUR blog, I was just assuming Winifred would know the British comedy.

I don't know why, but this song makes me cry. The melody is just so beautiful and I love to sing along with it. I have Barbra Streisand singing this with him on her Broadway album.

I have never seen The Phantom of The Opera, but it is on my TO DO list. I love the songs that I have heard from it though.

Michael Crawford plays the role of Phantom of the opera very well! And he sings very well. He is really creepy in this role. Great tenor!
