Bucket List

I just finished watching "The Bucket List " and was mildly disappointed. I had heard several people say how good it was so I rented it. I thought it was too predictable and only somewhat entertaining. I like both actors so that was a plus, but just didn't get the humor. I didn't laugh once but did tear up when Jack N saw his granddaughter. After it was over I wondered if I would have a bucket list. Can't say that I do. I think my life has been just fine the way it is. Seeing other parts of the world would be nice I guess, but it's fine if I don't get to. Maybe that was the message of the movie though. If you are okay where you are... then that's good enough.

I'm not crazy about Jack. Gasp! I know I must be completely alone with that feeling, but for that reason, I've not seen this movie. I don't really have a bucket list, but there are some places I'd like to see before I die.

Now that's one I've wanted to see but since we rarely remember to rent a movie...I probably never will. M and I watch different TV's so it would be hard to get us together to share a movie..so if I'm alone watching TV, I never think to put a movie on.

What a beautiful header, Brenda! Is that your view? Just gorgeous.

I haven't seen the movie and don't think I will. I could see it on Pay Per View on my Direct TV. I don't have a bucket list either, as I'm happy with things. I have been to many European countries. Would like to see Colorado and California and Montana, one of these days. Hopefully, I will.

Happy March!

Have a great day.

Hugs,

Renie

I had no desire to see the movie because of the predictability. Now I know for sure I won't bother with it.

I'm not a Jack Nicholson fan but I did like him in As Good As It Gets. I could watch that movie over and over.

I don't even know what a bucket list is, but one thing I know: I am not fond of Jack Nicholson. So this movie won't be interesting for me, I am afraid.

Rudee,
You are not alone on that. See comments below.

Sandy,
I rarely rent movies or watch them anymore either. Sometimes I get the itch.

Renie,
The header is from a condo that my husband and I stayed at down at the Lake of the Ozarks. I wish I was there right now, driving a boat. Sigh...

CC,
I can't remember if I saw As Good As It Gets....I am not that much of a fan of all of his movies.

Wil,
The bucket list is a list of all the things you would like to do before you die.

After these few comments of not being a fan of Jack N. I decided to google him, and see if I could find out more about him. I was just a little curious about why so many don't care for him.

My admiration for Morgan Freeman over shadows Jack N. I haven't seen a lot of Nicholson's movies, but I try to see the actors talents and not the "Movie star". Movie stars personal lives are very odd most times. When they make "Stardom" I have to look past that business and just look at weather or not I think the talent is worth while. Oh...that sounded snooty didn't it.....

You're not alone Rudee, I don't like mad Jack either but I do like Morgan Freeman.

I'll just wait til it comes onto the telly & if I don't like it there's always the off switch.

Is it called the bucket list because of the phrase to kick the bucket meaning to die?

I just bought "The Bucket List" video last week and haven't watched it yet, so didn't read your post today. I will try and watch it tonight and then leave a comment and read your post.

I don't like Jack so rarely watch anything with him in it. I did though make a bucket list of sorts last year. Must be age or bad health that makes one take stock of what one still wants to do, at least for me... ciao

I just finished watching the movie and I thought it was sad and very depressing. I cannot believe a husband would just leave the family and go travel around the world with a stranger. I haven't figured out what the message here is suppose to be. I guess if I want to figure it out I will have to ponder over it, but doubt that I will, there are better things I would rather ponder over. Have a great week!

Hi Brenda,

LOL...My two daughters and I were doing personality tests over the week-end and Jill my daughter decided to do all our famous doubles. As it turned out she decided my famous double was Elizabeth Taylor, so the three of us made our famous doubles our profile pictures. Jill decided her famous double is Dolly Parton and she decided Rhonda's was Julienne Moore...it doesn't take much to entertain us...

I came over from Wanda's site to say hello! I love your Avon thimbles. I have a Mrs. Albee that my mom won when she sold Avon that the thimbles remind me of. I haven't seen this movie, but I'm pretty content with my life and what I've been able to do so far.

I think I have a bucket list; I think everything on my bucket list has or is about to happen too. My husband, my kids, my photos, and soon some trips I hope. I'm with Rudee; I don't much like Jack either.
