Men and Women.....Different Brains

Aside from the obvious physical differences between men and women, scientists have been saying for a few years now how different our brains are. I doubt many of us needed any scientific evidence of that. I recently read an article in the paper about a new book coming out called "Laugh Your Way to a Better Marriage." The author, Mark Gungor has a few "you tube" videos talking about the book, if you care to check them out. I watched part of this one. He talks about how men have individual boxes, one for his job, one for his wife, one for his car, etc. He can only talk about one box at a time, and gets confused when you try to combine too many topics. Women however, have brains like a ball of wire, where everything is connected to everything and they are all driven by emotions.
My daughter recently took pictures of her daughter and her friends son.
These pictures reminded me of how young
we must start out
thinking differently.

A typical conversation in most relationships may go something like this:

Woman: "Saturday we need to clean house"
Man: "Okay"

Saturday comes around and the man is watching TV.

Woman: "It's Saturday...we need to clean the house."
Man: "What needs to be done?"

This statement makes women FURIOUS!!
Can't they SEE the mess?!?!??!!?

No they cannot. Because they don't care. They can only see the TV.
They only need about three or four things. The chair, the remote, and something to eat and drink.
The MESS isn't there.. in the box their minds are occupying at the time.

Eventually, you will come to see things MY way darling!

How cute and clever. Yes, we start out early thinking differently. My husband says I don't know how you and your Mom can carry on a conversation, you jump around from one thing to another too often. Of course if he's in the room, he's lost after the first five mins. LOL Week-end is coming up, have a great one.

Those photos are lovely.

That's so true Brenda and it must be an international phenomenon too. A chap at work once told me I had a mind like a butterfly I irritated him becasue I kept jumping around from topic to topic. Well better that than one that just plods along in a straight line never deviating for anything or anyone.

Brenda! That was just hilarious! You should do more of this kind of thing. You really can spot the good shots and your dialogue is spot on!
