Christmas Cheer

Our Christmas this year was very pleasant. Every year I feel there just isn't enough time to see everyone I would like to see, or do everything I would like to do. But it always works out however it is meant to... I suppose. Brian's family came in town this year to celebrate here, so Bob and I and Bobby were invited over to their house yesterday for a nice meal. We brought Maddie her gifts to open up there and got to take movies and pictures of her 2nd Christmas. Last night we exchanged our gifts amongst ourselves. Katy and Brian and Maddie got me tickets to see Chicago at The Fox next week. I will be going with Katy and I am really looking forward to it. I love live performances.
A good gift choice for Bob is almost always a book, and Bobby gave him a sports book and Katy and Brian gave him a gift certificate. I also got him some books that I thought he would like.
One is about some of our Catholic churches and their history and architecture. And 2 others are about St. Louis Cardinals baseball.

We got Bobby the lettering and numbers on his Blues Jersey that we got him last year. Since I do not watch sports, I could not tell you anything about this person he wanted on the jersey.
Bobby knows how much being together as a family means to me, and got me this game. We all watch this TV show and have since it started so it should be a fun way to spend some family time together.
The gym was not open yesterday, but I got in there today and managed to increase some of the exercises I do. I have now advanced to 10 minutes on the elliptical machine. I hope to be up to 30 minutes in a few more months. It is FREEZING here!!!!!! I think we had a high of 20 today. We have had very little snow, but with all the rain we had for a few days, the water on the side streets froze up and you have to be careful. I hope it starts to warm up to the 40's pretty soon. That sounds warm to me right about now.

It sounds like a perfect holiday, Brenda. I'm glad you got to relax and enjoy everyone. I bet Maddie loved it all this year!

Hi Brenda,

Your Christmas sounds very nice. But your weather doesn't! Brrr, that's cold. It got cold here after all the rain Christmas Eve, but we were at 40 today, hpwever it felt colder with the brisk wind. I guess we won't be getting much warmer than that for a while. My Christmas was very nice, with Greg, his girl friend, and Eileen and another friend, Mary. Greg is still here and he'll take us out to eat tomorrow, then leaves for home in the afternoon.

Have a great Sunday!

Hugs,

Renie

I know what you mean about not getting to see everyone. That's the most frustrating part about visiting my family. Sigh.

Grr - as a Braves fan I'm honor-bound to diss the Cardinals :)

Rudee,
It was great. I really did get to relax this year!

Renie,
Glad to see you are feeling better and got to enjoy some time with your loved ones. Stay warm!

BJ,
Good to see you on here!! I was happy to see you do a new post on your blog also. I know blogging is time consuming and we talk on facebook...but I still like to keep track of my days on this blog.
Love ya!

Dana,
Haha....I won't hold being a Braves fan against you because I am not into sports...but if I were I would root for my home team. My son and husband are very big fans as you can tell...
