TV Finales...

This year I watched a new show called Chicago Code and got hooked on it.  It came on right after of my favorite shows  I thought Chicago Code was a very good show and thought it would be successful...but I just read that they cancelled it after the first year.  I can't imagine why.  It followed a successful was an interesting show.  Too bad...I was looking forward to the next season.

House had me going this year.  He fell in love and kicked the Vicodin addiction.  I thought they were really going somewhere with his character.  Then his relationship ended and he went back on Vicodin and the season finale was not good.  But...I have a feeling that he really did not drive his car into Cuddy's house.  I think it was just a dream.  This show has been renewed.  I think the thing that intrigues me about the show House is the research team.  Always trying to figure out things about patients that are difficult to diagnose.  I think the some of the illnesses are too far out to be believable... but it is still entertaining.  I admire Hugh Laurie's character because he hides his English accent so well, and because I heard he used to be a comedian...and is now doing a very serious character.  I am not sure why I did this post today...I think I just wanted to talk about something other than the disastrous weather we have had.  Yesterday the granddaughters and I spent most of the day in and out of the basement because of tonado warnings.  I did not misspell tornadoes....Maddie calls them tonados...and is cute when she says it.

Though I like House, I stopped watching it a couple of years ago. I don't know why . . . I have DVR. I didn't watch Chicago Code at all. THey canceled Detroit 187, too, but only because the Michigan governor did away with the tax breaks for the film and TV industries in Michigan. They won't film here anymore. Kind of sad, because some great movies came out of that effort, like Gran Torino.

We could all use a little Maddieisms in light of the seriousness of the weather. Stay safe!

Tonado is what I do to the covers when I'm restless :)

I'm sad about the Chicago show - although I never watched it I read an interview with Jennifer Beals about is & thought it sounded like a good deal for her.

I never saw House. Maybe I'll check it out. I like stuff no one else likes, like the Cooking Channel, HGTV, etc. Lately, I've been watching the Weather Channel a lot, and got the basement ready, in case I had to go down there. Thank goodness, I didn't have to. The weather has sucked, big time! Here's to some nice, mild, sunny days, from now on.
