Fun With Maddie and Kayla

Today Katy had to do some continuing education training all day
so Bob and I had the kiddos.
Kayla had a long nap after lunch so we did some
coloring and hidden pictures
and these magnetic shaped patterns with Maddie.

I wanted to take some pictures for her scrap book,
and she wanted to take some pictures of us.

She gave us instructions on how to pose.
A few of them actually turned out ok.

Good thing she can't read yet.
Because she is getting a child's camera for Christmas.

Desperate People....

If you came here hoping for a feel good story...this isn't going to be one.  I really don't even like blogging about these things, but for some reason  I feel like I just have to vent it out of my system.  The news in my area has just been one awful report after another.  It has probably been about a month ago now when a little baby disappeared from her parents home who live in Kansas City, Missouri.  The last time I read anything about that...it just sounds so confusing, I couldn't make any sense of it.  I read that the parents and the police don't get along and something about a step child the mother has???  I just couldn't piece the story together.  The little baby has not been found though.  And now just this week, we had a young woman call the police mid morning saying that her 11 month old had disappeared.  By the end of the day the baby was found dead near the home and the mother is now charged with 2nd degree murder.  Later in the evening 2 babies were wandering the streets in diapers.  A one year old and a two year old.  The parents were at a meeting and said they had left them with a babysitter,  The children are okay...but were out in freezing weather with no clothes on.  The babies have been taken away from the parents.  If all of this is not enough....I went grocery shopping today and when I went into the store there were 2 police cars there.  I smelled something burning so I thought maybe there had been a fire.  When I was checking out, I asked the cashier if there had been a fire because of seeing the police.  She said no...the police were there because of robberies.  Purse snatchers.  She said hold on tight to your purse and have your keys in your hand ready to get in your car.  We have had so many reports of people holding knives at people trying to get in their cars for them to hand over their money.  Even our church lots have had car break ins while we are at church.  I can't remember having this much horrible news all the time.  I am so glad I am already on anti-depressants.  If I weren't...this would be enough to send me to the Dr.
Will try to come up with some good things to write about tomorrow...........
