The World of Cats...

Well..if anyone that has cats in the house can give me some advice on training them NOT to get on the counters...kitchen tables and sink...please share.  I am constantly wiping off these areas when I prepare food...but really...I wish she would just stay off of the food area.  She is super cuddly and cute though....

Get yourself a water bottle with a sprayer and just spray the kitten anytime it's on the counters or where you don't want it to be. It works on mine, and no one gets hurt!

She is a cute little thing. I'm glad you were able to bring her in to share a little life with you.

Shes absolutely gorgeous. I also have the cat on counter problem especially when theres food around. The experts also say that it helps to have a cat friendly perch next to the counter from where she can see what you are doing. Use the spray and when you have chased her off the kitchen counter, lift her and put her on her own cat perch. You may have to do this about a 1000 times before she gets the message but do persevere.

Thanks Kat, Rudee and Momcat...I will be getting a spray bottle next time I am out. Does a squirt gun work too....

She's a cutie. I Did what Kat did with a barking puppy and it worked. My sister had a full size lab who would jump on her tables and counters.. :)
