Update on what I have been doing...

We took down the tree last Sunday and all of the Christmas decor.   My life has become very busy the past few months.  I no longer watch the grand kids as often as I did in the past, so I have filled up my time with
1. Monday- Appointments or errand running
2.. Tuesday- Hospital volunteer.. Extraordinary Minister
Tuesday evening- RCIA sponsor
3. Wednesday- Homework for Bible Study
4. Thursday- Praying the Rosary at Oak Tree Retirement Village
Thursday evening- Bible Study
5. Friday-  Cleaning the house and running errands
6. Saturday- Legion of Mary
7. Sunday- Mass and Family time.
The past month or so have also been busy with holiday parties.  Mostly through our church activities.  Our church has become our second home or maybe our first.  We still sleep here and eat here and do our wash, etc.
I have also been watching more TV than I usually do as I work on some knitting projects.  The project I am currently working on right now is a very large afghan that Katy can use as a back drop for her photography of newborns.  I have watched "The Tudors",  Interesting.... but I heard the people behind the scenes.. did not follow history...very accurately.  And there was way way way too much nudity, and sexual activity.)  Even others...who wrote reviews on it said the same thing....and I am pretty sure these reviewers  are not as much of a prude as  I am about all this in movies these days.    It is a shame....because the acting and costumes and scenery were so good otherwise.
I just started watching "Homeland" yesterday and like it so far.  And I am happy about "Downton Abbey" coming back on.
I wish I had more time to blog...but so far I haven't squeezed it in.  I may just do an occasional boring update like this one......

Well your schedule sounds exhausting to me - whew!

I'd like to see a picture of the afghan when you're finished. I'm in the middle of making all these hats & scarves for people - once I finish those I'll get back to making the afghan I started for Mike & me. It's a sort of granny square deal. I've made a bunch of squares but I have NO idea what to do with them when I'm finished. Guess I'll let youtube tell me :)

Happy New Year! Lovely to hear from you Brenda.

My you are certainly busy. Like you I'm a traditionalist & I take my decorations down on 12th Night, never before. The house always looks so bare, I think it's the lights that I miss. I keep trying to think about where I could put some without the place looking tacky! So far I haven't succeeded.

I watched some of The Tudors but I bet there wasn't so much nudity, it would have been too cold in those palaces.

I quite like Downton but they keep killing the characters off so getting a bit sick of it.

Don't worry if you don't blog as often, just every now & then will at least keep us up to speed with what you're doing.

Take care!

You do have a busy dance card! It's good to do some of the meaningful things you choose for yourself. They fill you up better than any good home cooking.

I haven't been blogging much, either. It's sort of run its course, I think. Or maybe I'm tired and working too much. 45 hours last week. I'm worn out by the trials and tribulations of troubled and suffering souls. Must be time for a break.

I love Downton Abbey and joined the JBW DA knit along. It's not too late to start and it's free. If you want, I can link you to the ravelry page.

Well you sure are busy!! I'm enjoying lots of free time - we were asked to join the Lions Club and have gone to a few meetings but there is that commitment thing that is distasteful to me, ha.

Sounds like you enjoy it though which is good. Are you still thinking of moving in the near future.
